General Carriage InformationAt EHS Architectural we do not endeavour to make a profit from the charges we make for carriage, whilst still providing our customers with choice as well as an excellent level of service.
To this end, once you reach the checkout, we will list the options available to you, and you can then make your selection based on your geographical location. The delivery times stated begin from the date of despatch, so the estimated delivery times listed with your selected products should also be taken in to consideration.
We have the ability to despatch to areas not listed, and these would be on a quotation basis, as we must take the destination, number of parcels, dimensions and weights into consideration.
For all of our services, and on request, we can provide a tracking number and a link to the carrier's web site, which will display regularly updated information on the whereabouts of your consignment. |
Carriage Charges for DoorsDoors ordered through this web site are despatched direct from the UK distribution centre in West Yorkshire apart from those to the EH postcode area.
Doors are by their nature extremely bulky, and a dedicated carrier is required to ensure that your purchase arrives on time and in good order. Deliveries will need to be signed for and in some cases the driver may require assistance in unloading. It is the recipients responsibility to ensure that sufficient manpower is available. The vehicles used to make these deliveries are large, usually the twin axle 17 tonne type, and as such will require good access to site. Where the vehicle is unable to drive up to the site, provision should be made for transporting the load the remaining distance. How close the delivery vehicle can get is up to the discretion of the driver.
Orders can be collected from our premisis in Edinburgh or from the distribution centre in West Yorkshire (by arrangement) free of any carriage charges. Simply select "Collection" from the delivery options in the checkout. We will then phone you when your doors are available for collection.
For EH postcodes, we charge £8.75 for each individual door or door part. This means a single door will cost £8.75 to deliver, two doors will cost £17.50, three doors £26.25 and so on. For doors comprising of many pieces (a folding 6 leaf door for instance) the carriage is made up of £8.75 per individual leaf or large parcel. This will all be calculated for you at the checkout.
For other areas we charge a flat rate of £33.75 plus £8.75 for each individual door or door part, to anywhere in mainland UK, (currently up to and including Inverness). This means a single door will cost £42.50 to deliver, but two doors will only cost £51.50, three doors £60.25 and so on. For doors comprising of many pieces (a folding 6 leaf door for instance) the carriage is made up of £33.75 plus £8.75 per individual leaf and large parcel. This will all be calculated for you at the checkout. For delivery to the other areas, please contact us for a quotation.
PLEASE NOTE : We make no profit at all from the charges we make for carriage. What you pay is what we pay - Guaranteed. If you order additional items, such as door handles or hinges to go with your doors, they will be despatched separately but no extra carriage charges will be made within the standard geographical areas that we cover. Other areas may incur additional charges. |
