Our collection of sash furniture is available in various finishes designed to flawlessly match the rest of our products. Designed to fit to the frame/box and restrict movement of the sash window. Ideal for adding extra security to upper floors, particularly for homes with children, these lockable stops are insurance compliant. Sold in sets of four (enough for two windows if not used in a night-vent configuration). If night-venting is required, the third and fourth stops should be fitted 100mm above the first and second to restrict full opening of the window. The secure stop is non-load bearing and therefore is not subject to the requirements of BS EN 14351-1. Supplied with matching SS wood screws.
Beeswax is our most traditional finish with a soft, natural aesthetic featuring subtle blue and deep red ochre tones which are preserved in the steel during the manufacturing process; this finish is ideally suited to older, traditional dwellings and cottage interiors. Beeswax products are hand forged from mild steel. After forging, the subtle colours in the metal are preserved by dipping the products in hot beeswax, resulting in the soft, matte richness and offers excellent protection when the products are fitted internally. Click to learn more about this Finish.
Due to temperature changes or packaging, a Beeswax product may occasionally show signs of a white bloom upon opening. This can be buffed with a soft cloth to remove. Although this finish already offers a very strong barrier against environmental conditions, we recommend re-applying a small amount of our 'Maintenance Wax' (33002) periodically with a cloth or brush which provides additional protection to the surface of your product and further protects this from any harmful external elements. To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using our ‘3-in-1 Oil’ (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation. *Please note that where possible we recommend using our External Beeswax products (in place of standard Beeswax) in areas of your property where damp conditions are expected such as kitchens and bathrooms. Light surface rust may appear if using our standard Beeswax finish in damp conditions, but can be removed with ease using 00 grade wire wool, followed by an application of 'Maintenance Wax' (33002).
